The second application window for ECDI - Civil Drones Innovative Programme is now open. This European initiative targets SMEs developing innovative technologies for civil drones and dual-use applications. Financial support up to 50,000 euros, mentorship and specialist services. Italy's Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport has announced the successful outcome of the VISTA field test – a drone-based visual assistance system for road emergency response, developed with the University of Bari. The first operational test took place on 18 March 2026 in Bari as part of the National Road Safety Plan 2030.
