Digital transformation is changing how water resources are monitored and managed, offering increasingly effective tools for inspecting infrastructure, facilities and the territory. Thanks to the integration of drones, GIS and IoT sensors, it is now possible to collect data rapidly, safely and in ways tailored to specific needs, improving knowledge of the territory and supporting more timely and sustainable decisions.
The conference will explore the main applications of UAV systems used to inspect water networks, reservoirs and natural water bodies, showing how these technologies can also contribute to land monitoring, the prevention of hydrogeological instability and the protection of water resources.
Through case studies and contributions from institutions, water utilities, universities and businesses, the event will provide an overview of the latest applications of UAV technologies, fostering exchanges between research and practical application, and highlighting the opportunities offered by digitalisation for increasingly efficient, resilient and future-oriented water management.
