The eleventh edition of DRONITALY, the only international event in Italy entirely dedicated to civil drones for professional use, will take place at the elegant EX-GAM Congress Center in Bologna from 11 to 13 March 2026.

At the request of industry operators, Dronitaly comes back to the spring season: the eleventh edition will be held from 11 to 13 March 2026 at the EX-GAM of the Bologna Congress Center. Unlike traditional exhibition halls, EX-GAM offers a refined, welcoming and reserved design environment, enhancing the experience of exhibitors and visitors alike and providing an ideal setting for targeted meetings and strategic collaboration opportunities.
Organised by BolognaFiere Water&Energy in collaboration with Mirumir, the 2026 edition continues the path initiated with the special event hosted in September 2025 at the ENEA Brasimone Research Centre, confirming Dronitaly’s role as a meeting and discussion platform for companies, institutions, Public Administrations and the research community, thanks to a format that integrates exhibition space, in-depth content and qualified networking.
The exhibition area, which will host more than 40 Italian and international companies, will allow visitors to experience first-hand the tools used in civil application fields identified with the support of the event’s Technical and Scientific Committee (https://www.dronitaly.it/en/Who-we-are). The aim is to foster concrete dialogue between supply and demand for solutions, also from a B2B and B2G perspective, enhancing expertise and high-impact operational use cases.
Continuing its collaboration with leading industry associations, major university centres and other stakeholders interested in the role of drones within their activities, Dronitaly will host the Hub Ricerca e Innovazione (Research and Innovation): within this space, researchers, students and start-ups will be invited to present innovative solutions involving the professional and civil use of drones.
Over the three days, the exhibition area will be complemented by a significant conference programme focusing on the main application fields of civil drones for professional use.
Drones are increasingly confirmed as effective tools in the agri-forestry sector, in safety-related activities, in the design, monitoring and inspection of infrastructures, as well as in monitoring, search and rescue operations, with precision, cost reduction and improved outcomes as their key strengths.
Special attention will be given to the acquisition and management of data collected through drones and to their integration with data from other sources, also through the use of Artificial Intelligence.
The future of the sector sees drones becoming part of an integrated system to make logistics more efficient. In the opening round table, operators and representatives of Public Administrations will engage in a discussion to understand how these technologies can reduce delivery times, reach hard-to-access areas, lower operational costs and respond to the evolving needs of consumers and public bodies.
The Dronitaly 2026 conference programme, already available on the official event website and currently under development, includes several structured sessions developed with contributions from CNR, ISPRA and the Order of Engineers, alongside additional initiatives (https://www.dronitaly.it/en/Program/Schedule#programApp).
CNR will curate three days dedicated to “Drones and the Environment: Research, Applications and Perspectives”, focusing on agri-forestry solutions (11 March), geo-environmental solutions (12 March) and “Drones and Data: management, security and future networks” (13 March).
On the afternoons of 11 and 12 March, ISPRA will host, within the conference “The New ‘Eyes’ of Environmental Monitoring”, two sessions dedicated to the use of UAS within the National System for Environmental Protection and to institutional synergies for monitoring, territorial control, research and emergency response.
The Order of Engineers will collaborate in organising the conference “Drones on Construction Sites: Safety, Monitoring, Engineering” (12 March). The conference will provide professional training for engineers and specialised operators, focusing on how the use of UAVs to access critical areas, collect real-time data and carry out inspections can support the reduction of workplace accidents and optimise time and costs in managing high-risk areas (major infrastructures and construction sites).
Dronitaly 2026 thus confirms itself as a qualified environment for developing relationships, transferring expertise and building projects, with an approach focused on the real needs of user sectors and Public Administration.
