The current context, marked by geopolitical crises and environmental, health and social emergencies, calls for new solutions to ensure safety and resilience. Against this backdrop, drones and advanced aeromobility can make a vital contribution in terms of environmental monitoring, land surveillance, infrastructure protection and the transport of materials to hard-to-reach areas, as well as supporting routine services, with economic, industrial and social benefits.
To fully exploit their potential, it is necessary to develop appropriate physical, digital and regulatory infrastructure, in collaboration with ENAC. A ‘sandbox’ could play a key role: a testing facility at the ENEA Brasimone Research Centre (Bologna) in Emilia-Romagna where institutions, research bodies and businesses can collaborate to innovate and test new applications, laying the foundations for an innovative model that can be replicated in other contexts and contributing to safety, sustainability and the protection of the territory.
Research, businesses and the PA at work at Brasimone
The event will be an opportunity to create operational connections between those who develop technologies, those who generate applied knowledge and those who need to integrate innovative solutions into public processes and services.
Connecting public demand with market solutions.
Enhancing research expertise and technology transfer.
Encouraging dialogue between businesses, institutions and the PA on concrete applications.
The ENEA Brasimone Centre as the event venue
The ENEA Brasimone Research Centre offers an ideal setting for an event dedicated to technologies, skills and operational applications for professional civil drones.
Waiting for Dronitaly 2027
The Brasimone event is a special milestone on the path towards the 12th edition of Dronitaly, the international event dedicated to the use of UAS in civil and professional contexts.
