Italy's Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport has announced the successful outcome of the VISTA field test – a drone-based visual assistance system for road emergency response, developed with the University of Bari. The first operational test took place on 18 March 2026 in Bari as part of the National Road Safety Plan 2030.
